Chris Classic, owner of Savoir Faire, is reshaping the narrative around Black perfumers by opening The Black Nose Lab in Atlanta—a space dedicated to discovery, community, and collaboration within the Black perfume industry.

Founded in 2017, Savoir Faire is a Black-owned perfume brand based in Atlanta, known for its luxurious and distinctive fragrances. The brand is celebrated for incorporating popular notes like oud, amberwood, and patchouli, crafting deep and sophisticated scents loved by fragrance enthusiasts.
Last month, during *Black-Owned Fragrance Week, Savoir Faire expanded into a physical space—The Black Nose Lab. Serving as both their headquarters and a showroom on select weekends, the Lab invites perfume lovers to explore Savoir Faire's collection alongside 20+ other Black-owned perfume brands. Since opening, the number of perfumers joining the space has steadily increased, making it a growing hub for the Black perfume community.
However, it’s important to note that The Black Nose Lab is not a traditional retail store. It functions primarily as a showroom, open on weekends at the owner’s discretion, with openings typically announced on Instagram.
For Chris Classic, this venture is not about competition—it’s about leveraging the power of group economics. As he puts it, this concept emphasizes the collective strength of Black-owned businesses to foster long-term growth and equity within the community.
The Black Nose Lab is an extension of that vision—offering a space where fragrance lovers can explore diverse scents and connect with the artists behind them.
Chris invites anyone interested in connecting or collaborating to reach out and become part of this growing community.
