Beloved plant-based café Aunts et Uncles is back at the Brooklyn Museum this summer with The Summer House, a seasonal food cart residency serving up culture, flavor, and community.

Blue and green food truck with "Aunts et uncles" sign. Two women inside serving a customer. Text: "Summer House," "Brooklyn Museum."

Based in Little Caribbean, Aunts et Uncles is known for its vibrant café space, thoughtful design, and delicious vegan menu that fuses the couples Caribbean & Brooklyn roots. Now, through their residency at the museum, they’re bringing that same experience curbside, making it easier for museum-goers and passersby to get a taste.

The Summer House is open all summer, Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Catch them anytime, or plan your visit around First Saturdays — Brooklyn Museum’s monthly after-hours celebration of art, music, and culture.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering Aunts et Uncles for the first time, it’s the perfect chance to try something new. We had The Link Up — a vegan hot dog topped with slaw on a pretzel bun — and definitely recommend it!

Stop by, grab a bite, and show love to a local Black-owned business keeping Brooklyn delicious.
